How it worksProposed to stimulate fat breakdown (lipolysis) and block fat storage in fat cells, mimicking a region of GH. It does not raise IGF-1 the way full GH does. Mechanism in humans is not well established.Inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Less NNMT activity is thought to preserve NAD+ and SAM (a methyl donor) inside fat cells, nudging them to burn more energy and store less fat. This is based on cell and mouse work.
