Privacy policy

Last updated

The short version: no ad trackers, no analytics cookies, no third-party analytics. We keep what we need to count visits, send the emails you ask for and answer your messages, and nothing else.

When you read the site

We count visits with our own tool, not Google Analytics or any other outside service. For each page view we store:

  • the page path (for example /peptides/bpc-157);
  • a visitor ID: a one-way hash of your IP address, browser user agent and a secret key. We never store the IP address itself, and the hash can’t be turned back into it;
  • the referring website’s domain, if you came from another site (not the full address);
  • your country (from our host’s network, not a precise location) and device type (mobile, tablet or desktop);
  • campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) if the link you followed had them.

We also log a few actions the same way, with the same hashed visitor ID: clicks on outside links (the destination address), affiliate and lab-report clicks, words typed into site search, calculator use, email sign-ups, podcast plays and pages that weren’t found. This tells us what’s useful and what’s broken.

Known bots are ignored. Page view and action records are deleted automatically after 400 days.

Cookies and browser storage

Visitors get no cookies from us. Your browser’s own storage holds a few things on your device only; they are never sent to us:

  • your light/dark theme choice, if you pick one;
  • calculator setups you save and your injection-site rotation, if you use those features;
  • campaign tags from the link you arrived on, kept for that browser tab only (session storage) so they count with each page view.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes all of it. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for site administrators.

Email alerts

If you sign up, we store your email address, the topics and peptides you chose, where on the site you signed up, a random token for your confirm and unsubscribe links, and a hashed (not raw) IP address used only to stop one connection from mass sign-ups. We email you only after you confirm, and only about what you picked.

Emails are sent through SendGrid (Twilio). They include an open-tracking pixel, so we can see how many people open each email. Links in our emails are not tracked or rewritten. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so you don’t get mailed again. To have it deleted entirely, ask us.

Contact form

Messages you send are stored with your name (optional), email, topic and a hashed IP address (to limit spam), and forwarded to the site owner by email through SendGrid. We use your email only to reply.

Who else handles data

We don’t sell or share personal information. These services process it on our behalf:

  • Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers see your IP address when you load a page.
  • Neon hosts our database (analytics, subscribers and messages).
  • SendGrid sends confirmation, alert and admin emails.
  • Vercel Blob stores podcast audio and artwork; your browser loads those files from it when you play an episode.

Links to Amino Club and Amazon are affiliate links (see our disclosure). When you click one, you leave MyPeps and that site’s own privacy policy applies; the link carries our affiliate code so the store can credit the referral. The same goes for Apple Podcasts, Spotify, TikTok and other sites we link to. (Amino Club links are labeled research use only and kept off dosing and injection pages.)

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
  • Ask to see or delete what we hold about your email address through the contact form or at info@mypeps.info. Use the same address so we can find it.
  • Block or clear site storage in your browser; the site still works, it just won’t remember your settings.

Because analytics records hold only a hash and not your IP address, we can’t link them back to you or pull out one person’s visits.

Age

MyPeps is for adults 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has signed up, tell us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. See also our terms of use.
